Unwelcome Customers

Alicia’s POV

“Gosh, you’re eyes are red, are you okay?” One of my coworkers, Angie, asked me when I removed my sunglasses.

I smiled wanly, nodding. I had spent all night in a horrible mood, thinking about Mikael Serrano all night. For the first time in my life, I was one of those girls, and I didn’t know whether I liked it or not.

All I wanted was for Mikael to at least talk to me.

“I’m okay,” I said in a hoarse voice. I reached for my water bottle and chugged down half of its contents. I couldn’t muster up the appetite this morning so I was practically running on fumes today. I didn’t mind it, as long as I wasn’t going to faint. Although, this morning I saw how Renee looked at me with concerned eyes.

Regardless, work awaited and I threw myself into it eagerly, so that at least, I could forget my troubles in the meantime. Acker had travelled once again - he was always busy and I didn’t want to be a source of disturbance for him.

“Customer at table seven,” I sprung into action as that
