"Make sure you use the right measurement. You can't just pour everything in like that. Understood?"

I nodded my head at her explanation. With nothing much to do at the house, I had decided to learn some dishes and snacks from Lilian. I take classes every morning after breakfast and at night after dinner. That gave me less time to waste on staying in the room or having to think about how Angelo's attention was fully on Annie, whom I found out was his cousin. They have been all over each other. But who cares? He can do whatever he wants for all I care.

"Are you sure you don't care?" Lilian's voice resonated in my ears from nowhere, making me turn to her with my eyes slightly widened. Did I say that aloud?

"What?" I asked, playing pretense.

"You know quite well what I'm talking about. I noticed you have been distracted these days. Is it because of Annie?" I didn't want to show a reaction, but Lilian's words made a chuckle escape me.
