Mia’s pov

“What do you have to say for yourself?” Lorenzo asked coldly as he whipped out his gun and aimed it at the guy’s head. The man, who had been trying to string an excuse together, fell to his knees as soon as his eyes locked with the gun. And I remained frozen in the same spot as I watched it all unfold before me.

It had been a beautiful evening. I had gone over to the mall tp shop for a bunch of things, accompanied by my bodyguards. Lorenzo’s call had come in around that period and he had suggested to come pick me up once I was done because he was around the same area. Of course, I had agreed at once, and in no time, I was sliding into Lorenzo’s car and offering him a bright smile like we hadn’t spent the entire morning together.

I felt my heart flutter as I stared at him, drinking everything about him up as I stared at him. He grinned at me as he reached out and stroked my cheek.
