It just turned out to be that the man whom I’m supposed to charm is ugly as hell and reeling strongly of cigar, which was enough to want to make me run to the other side of the room at once.

There were four men present, along with Lorenzo, who was clearly the youngest one in their midst.

Lorenzo wasn’t the only one who brought along a woman, another person whom I heard being referred to as Alex, also brought along a woman who was dressed in an attire identical to mine, but instead of a top, hers was a sports bra.

Of course we weren’t introduced, because we weren’t important enough for that, and of course I didn’t mind, if that meant I wouldn’t be paid a lot of attention to. But I knew that wouldn’t be possible because we weren't on the open field right now, and there weren't enough people on the field to take every attention off me.
