Connor hated what he was feeling, hated this feeling of helplessness and hopelessness. For many weeks now, Annah has been in his captivity, yet nothing has been progressing. At this point, he didn't even know what to believe anymore, because the more he tortured her, the more she seemed to grow resilient.

''Or is there something I'm missing.'' He mumbled.

He had done everything he could think of for her but yet, she wasn't giving him what he wanted, which just made him worried. There was more to all of this which he was sure of and until he saw the bigger picture, he knew that he might not be able to uncover it.

Grabbing his phone, he dialed an agent's number. This man had worked for him in the past and he was convinced of his professionalism and his dedication to what he did.

''Boss.'' he said as soon as he picked up the call.
