"They've gone?" Annah asked.

Connor walked into his room to see her laying on the large couch, looking through a magazine that had been on his table for weeks now. It was an old edition of the magazine and he wondered what she saw in it to be reading it but he realized that she was just using it to kill time and secondly because she didn't want to feel very anxious. He could tell that she was very agitated because she didn't know the outcome of the men saving their son and he knew that he had to help her forget that anxiety that seemed to hold her down.

"Not yet, babe, but very soon," he said.

They stayed in comfortable silence for a while with her reading the magazine and hoping that she didn't burst out crying because her emotions were already at an all time high. It was one thing to be hopeful but when you were agitated about that particular thing and you didn't know whether it would turn out well, it was another ballgame entirely.
