I bit my lips hard in anger and frustration as Curtis chose to sit near me in the almost filled banquet service to eat. What was wrong with this dude? I thought, witholding myself for the upteenth time for lashing at him. This was my father’s burial. I shouldn’t be going berserk over some boy's issues. It will definitely send off the wrong messages to the little crowd in the beautifully decorated hall.

Well, I have to admit that my stepmother had really tried to give my father a decent burial and send off, and if I hadn’t known any better, I would have thought that she had loved him. But I knew better. And I knew that all these were for her self righteous image she was struggling to keep in front of her friends and business partners.
