I sighed tiredly withholding myself from slipping down the door in weakness and tiredness, every trace of drunkenness was in my eyes totally gone. I was beginning to get tired of everything, seeing that I was in the dark about a lot of things.

Had all these been a joke? I thought, sighing again.

Well, at least I knew now that my father had cared for me at least before he died. Even though he had a funny subtle way of showing that, he still did. Jess’ words had just confirmed that.

Howbeit, Rest In Peace, father. I thought, almost scoffing but for the fact that I would alert the typical shameless couple in the bedroom if I did so, when I felt a tear slip off her eyes. Good for my dam to turn on at the slightest knowledge that my father might have cared for my well being at least.

My thoughts were momentarily forgotten when I heard Jess’ next statement.

“Well, the master would have to be more patient with me, till my son, Manuel, comes back.”

“And why is that?” The man asked,
