She chewed on her lip as more than a hundred men seated at various tables containing numerous plates of food stared at her figure standing nervously at the door way. A buffet was laid at one end of the room.
"Can't I eat in my room?" She whispers to Marcos.
"It's against the rules."
A particular circular table was empty except for Mateo. He motioned towards the seat with his eyes to Marcos who immediately caught it.
"Over there" He assures her as they head to the buffet to grab their plates and fill it with a variety of foods. Seeing so many options, Nora seemed confused about what to get. She took her time looking for bread on the table. Seeing her hesitance and feeling his head being shot with Mateo's impatient gaze, he hands out her plate to her which was filled with various cooked meats, bread and some vegetables.
"You can go join Mateo"

Chapter 21At first Mateo had assumed that she was cold. He had increased the temperature of the room but it made no significant difference. He settled on realizing that it was not a response to maintain temperature but actually a result of nightmares or terrors. Mateo furrows his eyebrows but his expression is devoid of any revelation. Mateo was afraid that the quietness of the room could make the sound of his heart audible and she would notice how it strangely changed it’s beating pattern. He captured her lower lip with his, softly sucking on it before giving it a teasing bite. Nora opened her mouth in response, allowing him to lazily slip his tongue in. Chapter 25It was silent and yet peaceful. Mateo slept without smoking excessively and Nora slept without shaking as much as usual. That’s not to say it completely went away. For at least the first half an hour, Mateo couldn’t fall asleep because he felt the constant shaking. Nora had slept but it was as if she wasn’t resting. It was only when Mateo hesitantly wrapped his arms against his waist and pulled her closer that her breathing slowed down slightly. He got into every nook and cranny, scrubbing with the soap and then washing it with water and then repeating. Once he was satisfied with his hand, deeming it to be clean, he turned off the tap and patted his hands dry on the towel. A spot of blood got on it but it wasn’t superficial.
