Chapter Fifty Five

Walking closer to the main room, she heard a familiar voice. Diana.

What was Diana doing here?

Just as she had thought, Diana was seated there, laughing at a joke Shawn had maid, before shoving him roughly away.

“Hey. Keep your gorilla hands off me” Shawn said rubbing his arm where Diana had hit him

“Soon you’ll be pleading for it”

Shawn smirked, “Then be rest assured”.

Diana visibly straightened when Amelia walked in.

“What are you doing here?”

“I just came to check on you…”

“Are you denying me?” Shawn asked with mock surprise. “I never knew you were so ashamed to tell her I invited you over to be my date at the party”

Diana shoved Shawn again and he muttered something like “Gorilla fists”

“Is that so?” Amelia asked with a wide grin, her tongue itching to tell Shawn all what Diana had been saying about him for the past months. “I never knew you were interested”, she said with a wider grin.
