CHAPTER 22

Giovanni felt drown to the woman he just met earlier, and he noticed that she wore a dress made by Alice. He told himself that he would go through every security camera of every store that belongs to them so he could catch a glimpse of her again. Giovanni was so distracted with his thoughts that he didn’t hear Luca talking to him.

“Boss, can you hear me?” Luca insisted one more time.  

“Oh sorry, what did you say?” Giovanni asked as he finally turned his attention to Luca.

“Did you not find those two-woman strange?” Luca asked because he felt like he knew the lady in gold.

“Uhm, I did find them a little strange, but we can’t judge people just because they are acting weird.” Giovanni said and but his hands behind his back.

“Let me scout them in the gala and see who they are mingling with so we can have an idea of the kind of people they are.” Luca said still feeling uneasy.
