Nate's POV

The following morning I had an urgent call from work I needed to attend to.

I had hoped I would see Isabella in the morning but I had to leave for work very early.

There's been an update concerning the contract I was eyeing that was on its way to someone else's hands.

I haven't been able to contact Mike since I have been attacked.

I'm sure he has tried reaching out to me but to no avail.

I knew I had to contact him and set up a meeting with him as fast as possible.

It should have been part of what I did last week but as I was overwhelmed with work it had escaped my mind completely.
