"F-father?" Garaine uttered, gawking at him with utter disbelief.

The person, who seemed to hate her the most, spoke for her. A lone tear escaped her eye, rolling down her rosy cheeks before disappearing into her clothes. She had been hardly holding herself together since she trained herself not to break down easily in front of others. But hearing those words from someone, whom she had never expected to support her, took her by surprise. Her lips trembled when she heard the word 'father' from his lips. Never in her life did she think she would be accepted by Blake Turner. And now he had proclaimed himself as her father.

She was brought back to reality when she saw her father-in-law walking toward her. She flinched when she saw him smiling at her softly before gently extending his hand like a gentleman.
