Five New Friend

As they approached Section Z-1 for senior high, they could hear the noise coming from that room.

"Whoa, is that King Lex and Queen Bee?" Samantha heard someone whisper.

"Yeah, you're right. It looks like Queen Bee has returned," One of them said.

"KING IS HERE!" Samantha flinched at the loud shout from inside the room. Then the noise, like a bustling marketplace, gradually faded away.

Wow, is that really how feared he is? Samantha thought.

"Sam, just stay by my side," Theron said. Samantha didn't speak at first because she didn't know what to say.

"Come on.  There are two people at one table... You and Sean will sit together... Lexus and Kate too... So just agree," he urged her. Samantha couldn't help but smile at him, thinking how cute he was.

She slowly made her way there. "YESSS!" he suddenly shouted, sounding like a child who won a bet.

Lexus and Kate entered first, followed by Sean and Kit. Samantha was surprised when Theron suddenly held her hand and pulled her inside.

"Who is she?" Samantha heard a girl whisper.

"I don't know, but she's with the Campus Prince," another person replied.

"Let's just go behind them, Lexus and Kate," Theron pointed out, pulling Samantha along. Half of her attention was on Theron, while the other half was on Lexus and Kate, who were now joking around as if they didn't care about anything.

She was seated next to Theron, who had a wide smile on her face. Samantha couldn't help but notice the striking handsomeness of the guy, especially when she caught sight of his cute dimples. Her gaze shifted to his captivating eyes. She couldn't help but wonder if his eyes were truly blue in color. Theron was busy arranging his belongings, giving Samantha the freedom to scrutinize his face.

Theron suddenly paused in his actions and looked at her. "Is there something on my face?" he asked, sounding puzzled. Samantha immediately shook her head.

"No, I was just curious if your eyes are really blue," Samantha replied.

A smile flashed across Theron's lips, and with that smile, Samantha felt like she would swoon from his extreme handsomeness. "Yeah, I have mixed heritage, and I inherited my father's eyes. Sometimes I use brown or black contact lenses to not draw too much attention to my eyes," Theron said, continuing to arrange his belongings.

"Wow!" Samantha exclaimed. His eyes were so beautiful, and she noticed that Theron only smiled in response.

Samantha was about to ask Theron another question when their professor suddenly arrived. He was an old man who seemed somewhat intimidating to Samantha, and he had a strict aura around him.

"Because it's the first day of school today, I won't be teaching for now. Hays, where is that transfer student?" the professor asked, searching.

Samantha didn't stand up because she felt embarrassed.

"Sam, stand up," Theron told her. Samantha's face grew even redder when she noticed that all her classmates were focused on her.

"Introduce yourself, Ms. Gonzales," the professor said to her.

She slowly stood up. "U-hm... Hello, everyone. I'm Samantha Gonzales." She shyly glanced down.

"So, don't you have anything else to boast about? I mean, is there nothing else you can add?" the professor asked. Samantha shook her head.

"Okay, you may sit down," the professor said, so Samantha, though confused, took her seat.

"Tss..." she heard Lexus sigh.

"As I said, I won't be teaching for now. Let's meet again tomorrow," the professor said and left.

"Hello, Sam?" someone called out to Samantha.

She turned to the person who spoke, a nerdy-looking girl who was now sitting in Theron's seat.

"H-hello," Samantha greeted her back.

"Hehe, can we be friends?" she asked with a smile.

"Sure," Samantha quickly accepted.

"I'm Ella Collins," she introduced herself, and they shook hands.

"You must be confused about our professor, right?" Ella asked, and Samantha nodded.

She approached Samantha. "You see, during the first introduction in front of the professor, everyone was boasting about their wealth. That's when I first witnessed our professor's temperament," she explained.

"Is that so? What did our professor do that day?" Samantha asked with interest.

"He was furious. Everyone who bragged in front of him was given a 500-item quiz, even though it was just the first day of school. Luckily, you didn't mention anything about their family business," she replied, smiling at Samantha.

"Hehe, I don't have anything to boast about in front of you," Samantha admitted, noticing Ella's curiosity in her words, but Ella didn't inquire further.

They engaged in conversation since they had nothing else to do. Samantha learned that Ella also came from a wealthy family. Afterward, Ella excused herself as their classmates had asked her to buy something.

Samantha had the feeling that Ella was being bullied by their classmates, judging by how they bossed her around. However, Ella continued to smile as she obeyed their commands.

Samantha paused her thoughts when her cellphone, given to her by Lexus, suddenly rang. It was a message from her boss.

Boss Lexus: Go to the school rooftop. I have something to tell you.

Upon reading the message, Samantha quickly left the classroom and headed to the rooftop. She saw Lexus standing there, facing away and seemingly lost in thought.

"B-boss?" she called out to him, and the man turned to her, looking somewhat annoyed.

"Regarding my ignoring you earlier, I want you to pretend that we don't know each other," he said.

"Um, why, boss?" Samantha couldn't help but ask. Lexus raised an eyebrow in response.

"Just follow my orders," Lexus said angrily. Samantha couldn't speak as she found the man's aura intimidating.

"Take a taxi home. I can't give you a ride because I'll be dropping Kate off at her house. Here's some money." Lexus handed her five hundred. Samantha accepted it, not wanting to anger him further.

As she was about to leave, Lexus turned to her again. "By the way, don't get too friendly with people at school. You don't know the kind of people here," Lexus warned before he left.

Samantha was in the cafeteria, contemplating everything her boss had said earlier on the rooftop.

"Sam, there you are," Theron said to her.

"Hehe, I suddenly got hungry. Why were you looking for me?" Samantha asked.

"I was going to treat you today, but it seems you’re already eating," Theron replied.

"Is that so? Let's eat together then," Samantha offered.

"Alright, I'll go and order..." Samantha nodded as Theron left to get their food.

"Tss, she's only been here for a while and already sticking close to the school's heartthrob," a girl whispered at a nearby table, loud enough for Samantha to hear.

"Maybe she put a spell on Campus Prince Theron," another commented.

"What a witch!" They laughed, but Samantha simply ignored them.

Theron arrived with a tray full of food.

"Do you think you can finish all of that?" Samantha said, surprised.

"Yeah, but of course, you'll help me," Theron replied with a smile.

He seemed quite gluttonous, but Samantha could tell from his physique that he worked out.

Samantha's thoughts were interrupted when she caught Lexus's gaze. He was looking at the two of them. There was no emotion on his face, and she noticed his dark aura.
