Chapter 49: Baby

They ended up having midnight dinner together. Margarette decided to be extra clingy and wants him to feed her. Hopeless, Xavier fed his wife to her stomach's content even though it cringed at him to even imagine what he was actually doing. He still reeks of alcohol and wasn't able to change clothes yet. He wanted to but can't leave his wife in her weak state. She clearly needs his attention.

"I want ice cream..." she whined.

"Stop acting like a kid and eat what is presented," he scolded. "Open your fucking damn mouth and eat this before it gets fucking cold, zhena." (Wife)

She opened her mouth with a sulking face and accepted the food. Clarise woke up immediately the moment Xavier called her over to ready his wife's food. He doesn't fully trust the people in the kitchen to deliver safety meals for Margarette, that's why he had asked a trusted maid to double check the food first before they delivered it.

"I want more soup," Margarette uttered. He held the bowl and helped her up.
