Chapter 82: Trust

The night ended up pretty agonising and long. For the rest of the night, all she could was the talk they had. Margarette left as soon as she heard his explanation. Her mind was blown with the new information she had heard. She doesn't know what to believe anymore.

All she could do was cry.

She kept crying and crying until her heart was content. Her eyes were swollen and her soul was aching. Her gut twists painfully in her stomach as if her conscience were trying to guilt trip her.

Xavier, on the other hand, ended up not sleeping. He went and worked through his laptop whilst watching over as his girls slept.

In his heart, he was content he was able to express his side. He was able to express those emotions he kept inside him. He's not expecting to be reciprocated or being pitied, he just felt okay by being able to express. That's what matters to him right now.

The next morning, Margarette refused to get up from the bed even though they had plans for the day. Xavier immediately understoo
