Chapter 7

It's been an hour since I sent Charlie to go grab the tray from her and put it back in the kitchen. I told him we had other stuff to discuss when he was done. Somethings not right. Wait didn't he cut...oh shit.

I raced towards the basement and unlocked the door to see Charlie tied up and knocked out on the floor. I looked around to see the knives missing. Charlie's weapons were missing and so was Melody.

I'm gonna kill that girl.

I untied Charlie and I went to go get some water and made sure it was freezing cold. I had men check the house to see if she was still here and others to see if anything was missing.

Once I came downstairs I dumped the thing of water on Charlie and he shot up. He looked around to see he was on the floor and Melody was missing.

"Hi pal." I said throwing the bucket to the side.

Charlie quickly stood up, "Liam listen, she caught me by surprise. Maybe she's not far. I was only out for ten minutes or so?"

"Try an hour."

Charlie's eyes went big, "Ah shit."

"Yeah, now you get to get to babysit her when I get her back. Maybe I'll even throw in not being able to go on missions with us for a month for being such an idiot!"

Charlie just stood there. His nose was scrunched up and had a vein showing on his forehead.

We both walked up stairs to see Anthony pacing around and he seemed really pissed. Wilson was standing nearby and seemed frustrated and staring at his computer.

"What now Anthony?"

"She stole my car! Not like a car we use but my personal car! She stole Scarlet!"

"Wilson find his car...now."

He looked away from his computer and up at me, "I did it's currently in a junkyard. She took a different car about ten minutes ago."

"Which car?" I asked.

"They don't have cameras in the back."

I quickly clenched my fists. "I want everyone searching for this girl. I want people on computers, people driving, somebody's coming with me to check her friend's house."

-----

I knew that they would be looking for this car. I drove it near a junkyard and stole a ugly blue car. I also figured that they'd be going to Theas place. I drove for about another fifteen minutes and stopped at a gas station and picked out a burner phone.

"Melody?! Oh my gosh is that you! Your parents are worried sick about you! And so am I!" Thea shouted.

"Listen to me very carefully, Thea. You need to go to my parents house...like right now." I said with a serious tone.

"Why? What's going on Melody?" Thea panicked.

"Please Thea, you need to go there. Tell them I'm fine. And say that I'll try to be home soon."

"Okay." She mumbled. I heard the door ring and I could hear her walking to the door.

"Thea don't answer that door!" I shouted.

"It's fine stop being such a baby."

"Thea..."

I heard her open the door and heard that arrogant, smug faced evil jerks voice.

"Are you Thea Jones?" Liam asked.

"THEA DON'T ANSWER HIM!" I shouted.

"Yes, that's me. How can I help you gentlemen." Thea answered. I can just see that smug face of hers. Does she listen to me when it's important? No!

"Just a few questions for you and then will be out of your hair.

"Come in, I'll just finish up this call and I'll be right with you."

Theas POV

Melody was scaring me...like bad. Where was she! She called me and asked me to go to her parents house and she'd meet me there. Maybe I'll humor her and ask questions later.

"Okay." I mumbled. I could hear her sigh in relief. I grabbed my keys and a purse and went to the garage door and the doorbell rang.

"Thea don't answer that door!" Melody shouted.

""It's fine stop being a baby." I said. Seriously, what is her deal today?

"Thea..."

I put my purse on the table along with my keys and opened the door.

Whoever he was, he seemed angry and is pretty damn hot.

"Are you Thea Jones?" He asked. I saw that two other people were standing next to him and both of them were also very hot.

"THEA DON'T ANSWER HIM!" Melody shrieked through the phone.

"Yes, that's me. How can I help you boys." I was doing this to piss her off. This is for not telling me the reason why I'm going to her parents house, and why she didn't just come here. She should've just told me.

"Just a few questions for you and then will be out of your hair."

"Come on in, I'll just finish up this call and be right with you." I said, giving him a smile.

"Thank you." He said. I opened the door for them and the three of them sat on my leather couch.

"I'll talk with you later...I have a guest over." Before Melody could say anything I hung up on her. I turned in their direction and all of them were glancing around my house.

"Can I get you boys anything to drink?" I asked.

"No, we're good." They all said in unison.

"Well what can I do for you?" I asked.

"We're looking for Melody Fawson, have you come into any contact with her?" The guy on the left said.

"Yes actually, I was actually just on the phone with her." I asked, looking at them suspiciously. Why did they care so much about her? Did she do something stupid? Usually I'm the one who gets into trouble. Especially with Melody when she was dating that guy a few months ago. He scared me, especially when he had friends over and when Melody was with them.

"Okay did she say where she was or where she was going?" One of them asked.

"Well before I say anything else can I ask you why you're looking for her? Oh and why did she say not to talk to you?"

They all looked at each other as if they were communicating without actually saying anything.

"Um sorry we can't say?" The guy on the left said.

"Can I at least get your names?"

"The guy on the left is Anthony, and I'm Liam and the guy to my right is Bane. And she's just in some trouble. We're trying to protect her from some very dangerous people." Liam said. He totally just ignored Anthony's comment of the 'we can't say' line.

"Okay, um I don't think she said anything about where she was. And if she did I don't remember her saying anything. But that could be the brain stuff where I forget things fast. I'm kinda like the human version of Dory. Well, except that I don't forget stuff as fast as she does." I said. The memory stuff is true. I have a really hard time remembering things. That's why I almost failed high school.

"Okay well if you need anything please don't hesitate to call us." Liam said, handing me a business card. I looked up at him and gave him a quick smile.

"Will do." I said standing up. The three of them stood up and I walked towards the door and had my hand on the doorknob before I felt a cloth being pushed on my mouth and nose. I'm fighting the urge to breathe in and of the chemicals but I can't help but take in a deep breath. That's when I just let the darkness overcome me.
