Damian’s POV

I sprinted to her side and the sight I saw made me dizzy, she was in a pool of blood. My vision seemed as though it would go out soon and I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth against each other as I picked her up.

“Hazel?” I called again.

“Damian, oh my god. I’m fine, you’re fine.” She started, pulling me closer to her and hugging me.

She wasn’t the one I saw in the pool of blood. It was Mia, history is beginning to repeat itself and I shook my head to get the thought of Mia out of it as I held her.

“Did you get hit?” I asked, pulling away from her and checking her out to see if any damage was made but I couldn’t see any.

“No, I’m fine. Must’ve been the force that made me fall, the bullet missed me.” She explained and I let out a sigh of relief. I don’t know what I would’ve done if she got hurt.
