26 Dinner date

Sitting on my bed that Wednesday evening, I wondered if it was a good thing to wish one’s child ain’t as intelligent as they were.

Because really, if only I had less intelligent kids, I would not be here right now, pushed into a dinner date I really do not look forward to.

And I definitely would not be panicking knowing my best friend would walk through the door any moment from now.

Of course it doesn’t help to know Christos has changed his mind about me coming to his place. He had phoned this afternoon to let me know that would no longer be necessary. He will pick me up at my home for the dinner event!

Sure, I was relieved to hear that it’s not really a date but a dinner event where we will have over two hundred guests in attendance. It is good to know he also thought coming over to his house would not be a good idea, but what will really make me feel good and happy is getting that call of cancellation from him.
