36. You're Safe

Nearly two weeks have gone past since the incident. I haven't left her side once. I was thankful for my brother, as he managed to upgrade her room, including providing her with a queen-sized mattress. Zane also had a laptop sent over so that I could work from here. Then, in the evening, I would sleep next to her, placing her head gently on my chest. I would talk to her throughout the day in hopes that she would get better. Her injuries had begun to heal, but still, there was no sign of her waking up. The doctors had told me that her body healing was a good sign. With her body healing, it increased the chances of her waking up. The only problem was the extensive head wounds she sustained. It was still too early to tell whether she would have any lasting side effects.
