Although it was somewhat expected, Gwyneth could not help but laugh when she heard the maid confront her like that. "Mary, do you think this is the appropriate attitude and status for speaking to me?" Sighing inwardly, Gwyneth turned off the television. All she wanted was to relax and watch a soap opera, but it had become such a difficult task. Standing up, she positioned herself in front of Elizabeth and Mary, examining their appearances as her expression gradually grew cold.

Realizing that her previous attitude was inappropriate, Mary slightly restrained herself. "Regardless, Miss Lisle is a guest. No matter what, Madam, you shouldn't do such a thing."

"You just addressed me as 'Madam,' correct?" Gwyneth crossed her arms, speaking softly as she looked at the two women before her. She had no intention of explaining herself regarding the baseless accusations, but she would not let it slide either.
