Eric walked out of the wedding venue, towards his car. Not waiting to tell anyone what he was about to do or what he was planning. He drove in the direction of Emma's House. That was the only thing that was in his head, to get to her and make her understand how much he loved her. He wasn't going to give up on her no matter what.He got to Emma's apartment after several minutes. He knocked on the door and at first there was no response, then after the second knock. The door flung open. He had initially thought that it was Emma but after he got a good look at who it was, he realized that it was Helene."What are you doing here?" Helene asked."Can I speak to Emma?" Eric asked. "please, it's important that I see her.""Please!!"Helene stayed silent for a while. She could see the desperation in his eyes and how sincere he looked."Are you not supposed to be getting married?""Yes, but I left. I left for her. Please tell Emma that I am here," Eric said."Emma left Eric," Helen said.Eric
Dad, I am sorry and I really don't mind anything you decide to do.""I am not here to blame or castigate you and I didn't make you C.E.O because of all these things so, I am not going to remove you because of it.""You didn't?" Eric asked surprised."I thought you wanted this wedding. You wouldn't make me C.E.O because of it.""I would have made you C.E.O regardless of anything that happened and a good C.E.O is supposed to stand up for what they thing is right, regardless of what anyone will say or think.""I agree that the alliance with Daisy would have really helped business but I know you're capable of making this business better than I could ever, regardless of any alliance," He added."I am glad you finally took charge even though the way you did it wasn't the best way.""I know dad and I am sorry about that.""my ways of training you wasn't the best too and I could have listened more, paid attention to what you really want and not push you harder everytime.""Thanks dad," Eric s
"Are you ready to go?" Henry asked, as he entered into Emma's room."Yes, just give me a minute."Emma picked up her phone and dialed Helen's number. She wanted to wish her Goodluck on today's court hearing. After she was done, she and Henry headed out. Henry had set up a meeting with the agent, who was going to help Emma with the publishing of her book. Emma was at least excited about that and was looking forward to meeting him too. They walked into a cafe where the publisher had been waiting for them. Emma had sent a draft of her book to him through Henry earlier and he had gone through it."Hello, Thanks for meeting us," Henry said after they had walked up to him."This is Tom," Henry said facing Emma. "And this is Emma."Emma smiled. "It's nice to finally meet you.""Same here, please sit," he said."I need to get something from across the street, I will meet you guys later. You two can talk," Henry said, picking up his car key to leave."Henry has told me a lot about you," Tom
Helen and her mum worked home sadly from the court house. Her mum had hurriedly shielded her from the crowd coming towards her as they had stepped out of the courtroom, with microphones all demanding explanations and it felt like they wanted to devour her with their words. Helen couldn't take the lies her ex husband was feeding the public. He was making her seem like the liar, the unfaithful one and was starting to make the whole story about himself and she couldn't help but feel the win slipping out off her fingers. Helen and her mum got home about 30 minutes later. As they got to the house, they met Eric waiting at the door for them.He had been there for a while and had refused to leave even when the neighbors had told him that they weren’t around. “What is he doing here?” Maria said, as they both walked towards where Eric had been standing.“I guess we will find out,” Helen said.“Hello, Can I talk to you please,” Eric said, as Helen and Maria got to where he was stand
Helen closed the door behind Eric as he stepped out. Her phone was buzzing as she stopped back into the living room. She picked up her phone and realized it was her sister calling."Hey sis," Helen said, sitting back on the couch."How are you doing? Saw that the court hearing was televised. Are you fine?" Emma said, sounding so concerned for her sister. "I am going to be fine. The court says I don't have enough evidence and the case might be called off if I don't come up with one soon. George is doing everything he can to help with the case.""I pray it all ends up with you winning, he deserves to rot in jail. Did you get the report from the hospital about the baby?" "Yes, I just did.""Alright then. I hope that helps a bit."Helen wanted to mention that Eric had showed up. She wished she could as she stared at the letter on the table in front of her. She picked the letter up "how is life over there?" She asked."It's fine, I met the publisher today. He was really excited for my
Eric wasn't sure if Helen would have sent his letter to Emma but he was hoping that she did. She knew that Helen too had issues of her own and he was willing to help anyhow that he could.Eric had been thinking about how to get through to Betty since the wedding day. She hadn't been picking his calls and he guessed she didn't want to see him too.He made a decision today, to go to where she was staying and finally talk about all that had been happening.Eric drove to Betty's parents house and as he parked in front of the mansion. He hesitated coming out of his car.He wasn't sure what he was going to tell her or even her parents and if they were even going to allow him see her.He finally summoned courage and stepped out of the car. He rang the doorbell twice before one of their maids came to open the door. As he walked into the living room, he figured that her parents would most likely be home and as he got to the living room, he met them sitting on the couch. They both looked
Eric didn't know what to say to Betty, he knew he wronged her and wished things had happened differently. "I wished things didn't happen the way it did,"Eric said and Betty forced a smile."I just really hope you can forgive me for everything," he added"You're still my best friend, I want you to know that. And our friendship is more important than anything that might have happened," Betty said and Eric smiled.Betty pulled him in for a hug. "I have missed you," She said and Eric responded "I missed you even more.""We should go out for dinner sometime," Eric suggested."That would be amazing," she said.**********************************************Today was another court day. It was the third one since the start of the court hearing. Helen was nervous as ever. She was starting to lose hope about the whole thing and already knew what the courts verdict was going to be. But she wasn't giving up anytime soon. The court hearing started with a friend of Helen's being a witness and
Helen looked at Eric's facial expression. She knew he had been expecting a better response and she wished she had it for him."She liked you a lot," Helen said as she stared at him.Eric looked up from what he had been doing."She always talked about you. She wouldn't stop telling me about the cute guy she met. She said you were smart, nice and cool. She always looked forward to you meeting," Helen said smiling as she remembered all the days Emma spoke about Eric."She was so nervous to tell you how she felt. She wasn't sure that you felt the same and on the day you kissed her!! She wouldn't stop talking about it," Helen said and Eric smiled too as memories of He and Emma flooded his head again."I love her and I haven't even been able to say it to her. I hope it's not late because now it seems like there is nothing I can do,""I had never seen her so broken like the day she found out you were getting married. She was always so strong, always looked after everyone but herself and I re
