Emma went to meet the publisher, he had told her to come so they could review some of the books together.

Emma had left early in the morning, she was really excited about the meeting and her book. It was going to be out soon and she couldn't wait for it to happen.

"Thank you so much for this opportunity, it's been really nice," Emma said, after she and the publisher were done talking.

"You're an amazing writer and I really can't wait to see the great things you will achieve," he said.

"I don't regret moving all the way out here just for this book."

He smiled "what do you mean by that?"

Emma looked confused. "Henry said I needed to move out here before you will agree to help with the publishing," she explained.

He was confused. Didn't know what to say but he knew he had no such conversation with Henry.

He had only told him that he was interested in her book and would like to help with the publishing.

Where she lived or stayed didn't matter so far he was able to interact with her and get the draft.

He had also been surprised to see her after Henry had told him that she didn't live close by. But, he didn't speak about it and had chosen to stay quiet about it.

"It didn't matter where you are. I would have still published regardless of where you are," he explained.

Emma couldn't understand why Henry would lie to her then. He made it seem like the only prerequisite and that she had no choice in it.

"Thank you for everything," Emma said and left. She didn't know what to say or how to even confront Henry about all of this but she knew that she was going to do something about it.

When Emma got home, she met Henry in the kitchen, making lunch. He had promised to cook her an homemade dinner.

Emma sat on the couch when she got back. She didn't say any word and was still thinking about the whole thing

"How was the meeting?" Henry asked moving towards where Emma was on the couch.

"Why did you lie?" Emma suddenly said and at first, Henry was looking confused.

"What are you talking about?" He asked.

"You told me that I had to be here, that I had to travel for the book deal to work. Now imagine my surprise when I realized that it wasn't true," she explained.

Henry stayed quiet for a while, wondering how she knew about all of this but he should have expected this happening before.

"I am sorry but I had to," Henry explained.

"What do you mean you had to? You took me away from everyone that I loved to come to a town that I know no one."

"I am sorry but I only wanted to help," Henry said.

"What are you talking about that you wanted to help."

"You were miserable back home. The last few weeks were terrible and I could see it on your face. You weren't smiling anymore. You were always angry about something and looked so sad. I thought about what to do to help and I knew if you stayed there, you wouldn't move on from everything and it would only keep hurting you."

"But I didn't ask for your help," she said.

"I know and I am sorry for everything but I only wanted to be of help. He was hurting you and you had to be away from him."

"I didn't need saving and definitely not from you," Emma said.

She knew Henry was probably right and she moving away was the best thing she could have done. But it still felt wrong that he tricked her, lied to her only for her to find out now.

"You could have told me, explained to me."

"You wouldn't have listened to me, Emma. You wouldn't listen to anybody and that was why I had to find another way to help you."

"It all still doesn't change the fact that you lied to me and not just for a while. It's been months and you didn't still think you should tell me."

"Emma, this is a new town. Away from everyone and everything that ever hurt you. I wanted you to have a new start, a happy life that you deserve with people that really care about you. You are an amazing person and one person shouldn't be able to make you feel like it's the end of the world," Henry said.

"You didn't have the right to make such decisions for me, I should be the one to make it for myself."

"I am sorry," Henry said, again but Emma walked away into her room

Henry followed her but she locked the door behind her but Emma locked her door immediately she entered into the room. She couldn't help it.

Emma lay on her bed, staring into the ceiling. She knew that a lot of things that Henry was saying were true but then, he lied to her. She still couldn't let go of Eric from her mind and they were miles away after several months still.

Emma wouldn't know what to do if they met on the street or say in a place with his wife which she thought he had. Emma still had moments were she randomly checked her phone hoping an unknown number would call her and it would turn out to be him.

Emma had moments she randomly checked her mail but in all of this she really wanted to move on. To live a life that she deserved and be happy again but it was all proving very difficult still and she didn't know what to do.

They say time makes things pass away but she still felt the same way she felt, the first time she realized that she was in love with him. The feelings didn't reduce even with time and distance, the longing grew more still.
