CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE

FREMA

You know that feeling? The one you get when a part of you is slowly dying? It was supposed to happen, always. Villains were meant to be defeated, it was the end deal. But why did I feel like every bit of life in me was being sucked away as he lay there, hardly breathing, eyes closed and lips slightly parted. Sirens blared distantly but my senses were clouded, memories flooding back. From the start, he'd never intentionally hurt me. He'd try to protect me every time, he'd make me feel.. wanted. He had done many bad things but he didn't deserve to die. Well, maybe he did but I wasn't ready to lose him. As stupid as I sounded, I didn't want the victory. Mom was saved, he didn't have to be carried away by the cops and most of all, he didn't have to lose his life.

I should save him.

"Arsen, he's losing blood.. We have to get him to the hospital," I voiced out, trying to get him on his ass at least.

"Are you out of your mind, Frema? He's even better off dead! Mom is at the hospital
