Chapter Fifteen

The night was dark, but the air was warm as we made our way through the forest. Both Alphas walked beside me, leading the way to the clearing they spoke of.

I wasn’t sure how long we walked for when we finally broke through the treeline, in the distance I could see the silhouette of a willow tree lit up by the starlight and as we got closer, I made out a figure sitting beneath the tree.

“The sketch.” Alpha Devin pointed out and we both nodded.

“It’s Jasper.” Alpha Allison identified and I wondered how she knew since I still couldn’t pick up his scent in the wind.

Jasper seemed to have sensed us because he turned to face us and stood quickly when he recognised us.

“Alpha Devin, Alpha Allison, is everything okay?” He asked sternly, but his voice held a tinge of concern.

“Everything is fine, Jasper. We didn’t realise you would be here.” Alpha Allison answered and Jasper took the silent hint to leave.

“I apologise, I’ll leave.” He nodded and took a step to leave when my voice
