Chapter Ninety

Daniel stared at Jasper and I with a look of surprise, confusion and anger when Jasper delivered the news.

“What do you mean I’ll be stepping down as the pack trainer? It’s been the Beta’s responsibility for generations.” He frowned deeply.

Ignoring his question, Jasper continued his explanation, “Jason will take over the everyday training of the pack under the title of head trainer. While you oversee his training programs, you will not be physically there for every training. As the Beta, your job is more than to train the pack, you have to see to all the security of the pack which includes the border patrol.”

The frown never left Daniel’s face but he nodded in understanding, “So I’m not being removed as Beta?” He questioned confusedly.

Jasper’s face morphed into one of disbelief and I had to hold back my laughter so it didn’t burst and ruin the serious mood in the office. To Daniel’s left, Jason sat with an amused smirk on his face.
