Anger was rolling off her like angry waves as she drove her car out of the prison straight to the hospital. For once in his entire life, she had thought that Xavier would tell the truth without any strings attached.

But turns out she was wrong.

Everyone wants something in return and she didn't have that to give. Her dad had already made it clear he wasn't dropping the charges against him and with Jared out of the way, it's only a couple of weeks before he gets a court date.

That's probably why Dante was fighting tooth and nail to get him out of jail.
