POV Kitty
The rest of lunch was calm. I watched Sammy and Cash carefully and I decided that my inner voice was right. They made a mistake and didn't know what the Vampires were really doing. I was sure that Sammy had some clue but I knew that she tended to ignore things that she didn't want to deal with.
She had to know that humans were being kidnapped and used. The blood they were drinking didn't just appear out of nowhere. She probably just ignored that idea though. That didn't make it right but I knew my friend. She wasn't really evil, just lazy and scared.
After lunch, Nick took me in front of the Council. The room they were in was on the top floor of the building. It was large and meant to look imposing. I guess that it was but it just bothered me how much these Vampires tried to look important.
In the pack the Alpha and Beta and advisors met in a warm meeting room and welcomed anyone who had something they needed to say or any pro
POV CraigAfter hearing that news from my brother, I was devastated. I didn't care about Nick. He was always a creep and him being a vamp wasn't surprising at all. I had caught him staring at Kitty on more than one occasion and it always made me worried. But the news about Cash and especially Sammy hit me hard. Sammy and I were never as close as she and Kitty were but we were still good friends. I trusted her completely. I had even tried to check in on the her and Cash after the Nightmare. I went to their house and found the bodies of her parents in bed together but she and Cash were no where to be found. I had passed this information along to Kitty who was saddened and worried. She wanted to go look for them but we had no idea where they would go or where to even start looking. I had also gone searching for our other friends. I found April's body in her living room with her parents beside her. It looked like they were hugging. L
POV KittyNick helped me locate all the materials and supplied I would need for the 'blood oath' that very afternoon. Luckily we didn't need much. We had just gotten everything by dinner time and I was exhausted."Come on, let's eat and then get you to bed, love. We will meet the coven and do the oath in the morning." Nick ordered and I nodded. He guided me to a nearby elevator and back up to the top floor. I looked confused and he smiled."All the council members and their families live up here." he said."Your parents are on the council?" I asked and he nodded as we stepped out of the elevator and walked down the hallway.I remembered the man that had questioned me that looked like Nick and the woman beside him and understood."So you live with them?" I inquired, feeling nervous.I really didn't want to have to deal with his parents right then. Or ever honestly."No. I moved out to a nearby apartment w
Kitty POVI tried to calm myself as I showered but I was still worried. Would Nick force me to do things? How far was I willing to go to continue this charade? I couldn't have sex with him. I knew that much but would I kiss him? Could I do other things with him? If I did, would Craig ever forgive me? If I didn't, would I be able to proceed with my plan?I shuddered at the thought. He was disgusting and I didn't know if I could hide that from him. I frantically thought.{Use the sleeping spell. Do it now so he'll be asleep by the time you walk out. He won't question it this one time but you won't be able to use it again. He'll become suspicious if you do.} My inner voice guided.I mumbled the spell softly and pictured in my head Nick becoming drowsy and eventually falling asleep. I crossed my fingers that it worked as I got out of the shower and did my nightly routine. I scoffed as I pulled on the underware and shirt he gave to me
POV CraigI was wandering around the next morning in a stupor. I just didn't know what to do with myself without Kitty. If she was here with me, we would be having breakfast with our friends and then rushing off to train. I would be flirting with her, trying to get her to blush. Eventually, I would get to see that lovely red creep up her neck and cheeks and she would roll her eyes at me and tell me off with a giggle. It would make my whole morning better. I lived to hear that giggle. To see that smile. To feel the heat of her blush. I lived my life to make her happy.Now... I didn't know how to live. I knew that it wasn't healthy or right. It was probably toxic as hell but I didn't care. Kitty would always be my everything. She is my love, my best friend, my Queen and my mate. I don't know how to live without her in my life.Mom and Dad came to see Clay and I after the meeting last night. They tried to keep me hopeful and it worked for a while.
POV KittyNick guided me down the hallway and into a nearby elevator. "What supplies do you need for the blood oath?" he asked as we got in.I thought for a few minutes."We will need black salt, lavender, and thyme. We will also need a bowl made out of metal, a clean towel, and a silver knife." I replied as we descended a few floors."What is the black salt for?"he demanded."It will protect all those involved in the spell and banish any hostile energy."I answered."And the lavender and thyme?" he continued as we walked down an almost empty hallway."The lavender is for protection and peace between whoever shares blood in the bowl and the thyme is for loyalty towards each other. We need a metal bowl and silver knife to ensure that they are clean and have no residue that would alter the spell. The towel is to clean the knife in between uses." I added before he could ask.Everything I was telling him was
POV KittyNick held my hand as we boarded an elevator. The worker carrying the supplies didn't follow us and I looked at Nick in confusion."There is a staff elevator. They aren't allowed to use this one. This one is only for the council members and families of the council members along with people important to the coven... like you and me." he smugly stated.Seriously? These vampires are so insecure. They need to constantly inflate their feelings of self importance. It's gross.Since we were alone, I dropped Nicks hand and took a step away from him. I didn't think he'd mind. I was wrong. So very wrong. He glared at me immediately and his eyes flashed red. He pressed the stop button on the elevator and then quickly backed me against a wall."What in the fuck do you think you are doing? Did I give you permission to let go of my hand? Did I tell you to step away from me?" he bellowed in my face as he caged me in with his arms.
POV KittyI gasped as Nick dropped my hand and shoved Locke into the wall. Nick put his forearm across Lockes neck, holding him there and growled."She needed to be taught a lesson and I did that. It's my right. She's mine!" Nick snarled."Did you need to be so rough with her? She's not like us. She won't heal in an hour, she's fragile. You shouldn't hurt your beloved." Locke spat back."Don't EVER question what I do with her. She is MY beloved. MINE!" Nick pushed harder against Lockes windpipe.Locke stared at me as I dropped my eyes to the floor and hurried to stand next to Nick. He may have dropped my hand but I didn't want to risk being too far away from him again. He was just looking for a reason to punish me. I knew that now.I felt Nick relax when he sensed me by his side."And would you look at that? She learned." he dropped Locke and turned to me with a smirk. He pinched my chin between his fingers and
POV KittyNick let me go but sent me a warning look as I took the items."You may step away but remember who is in charge here and who owns you" he ordered.I bowed my head while my family glared at him. I set the bowl down on a nearby tray table.Thankfully my inner voice whispered words to me in a long forgotten language that only the witches could know.{This will tell them what you are doing and to play along. Your Grandmother and Aunts will understand at least. It's saying that the vampires don't know much about witches and believe that this oath will keep us from harming anyone that adds their blood to the bowl.} I carefully repeated the words as I cut my hand and dropped blood into the bowl. I glanced around the room to see confusion in my cousins and uncles but the rest of my family looked calmer. Nick and the other vampires looked enthralled. Nick bared his fangs when I cut my hand and they all took a
