Full Circle:
Ariadne’s grabbed the wheel as she watched the horizon. She had steered most of the evening and into the morning. She rolled her head back and forth trying to get the crank in her neck out. She stood on her tippy toes stretching her calves. God she was tired. She felt like everything on her was drooping. She wanted to sink into the floor and curl up. They were making great time and the longer she kept a hold of the wheel, the longer she felt like she was making progress to get to Dani. The longer she held on meant that she was being useful, she was saving someone else time so when they switched they could press on. That way there was never a moment when someone would struggle to steer. Steering was the hardest and most tedious part of the ship.
The sun was peeking out over the ocean as it started to raise. She could see a large dark peak coming in
Adventure:Dancia had to remove herself, she was shaking. She could feel the tears begging to slip out from her eyes. She shut the door pushing Luke’s body from the doorway as she did. The blood had seeped into the captain's cabin but she didn't care. She stepped away from the door going to the desk and bracing herself with it. She turned facing the door and sank to the floor leaning back into the desk. Was everything a lie? She felt a warm tear slid down her cheek. She took long slow breaths in through her nose and then blew them out of her mouth. She needed to collect her thoughts. Kaleb looked genuinely surprised about Luke’s plan. But that bastard is his father. She thought to herself letting another long breath out through her mouth. Why would he kill Luke? Why wouldn't he just take over? He just surrendered and doomed all of his me
From the DeepDanica watched the passing rocks of the cliff side, her body completely still. She kept trying to keep her mind focused on the passage but her eyes kept flickering to a very quiet Kaleb. She frowned slightly watching him. He hadn't said anything else to her since. The silence was no longer comforting and she felt her heart tugging at her to say something; anything to him. She for some reason deep down believed him.Kaleb rested his arm on the upper deck looking forward. He was trying to focus on anything but the need to turn around and go to Danica. He searched the sky and then the rock walls. He narrowed his eyes. There was a crack in the continuous wall of rock. He squinted it wasn’t odd for walls of cliff to shift and separate but something about this crack caught his attention. As the ship sailed past it he looked into the crack, it was deep dark, and gave
Creatures: Kaleb’s knees hit the ground as he duck bracing himself. He used all of his strength to hold the sword above his head; praying the tentacle would impale itself. He shut his eyes and waited for impact. The world came crashing down on him and he felt warm hot liquid run over him. Looking up he saw the tentacle flopping around his bade. Within seconds the wait was being lifted off of him. Danica helped lift the tentacle off and let it flop to the side. Her sword covered in the same deep dark liquid as Kaleb’s sword. His eyes ran down the tentacle and saw it had been severed in half. The tentacle was still moving about as it hit the ground. Kaleb stood watching the scene in front of him. Tentacles laid about the ship, some still twitching. Dark almost black blood was spread across the deck floors. He looked down at his body and he matched the deck floors. He looked to Danica who was taking it
Castaway: Danica watched the men pick up the tentacles and drop them back into the sea. Their nerves were on edge, still waiting for another attack from the monster of the deep. Everyone was just waiting. A few men began mopping up the creature's blood trying to keep busy as they made their way through the passage. Kaleb was on guard and couldn't seem to relax. She never thought any of this would happen on this sea voyage. Kaleb sensed her guilt and walked over to her. “You alright?” He asked quietly, his eyes still scanning the ship’s sides. “I’m ok we will be better once we're out of here and I know everyone is safe again.” Danica said letting a little piece of her guilt out. “Danica, this isn't your fault, this could have happened to any ship that came through her
Storm:Ariadne stood on the upper deck watching the horizon . She stared at the spot that used to be where Raven Peak was. A cold breeze had picked up and she wrapped her arms around herself trying to keep warm. Jonah was still staring. She couldn't get her mind off the birds. Did Dani have to face them too? Did she get through them? She had never thought about dangers like that? The more she thought about her sister, the more her stomach pitted and turned into knots. She had just assumed that they were sailing along peacefully to some island, maybe worse case getting into a little storm but bird attack no. She hugged herself deeper.“You all right?” Patrick's voice asked, coming up from behind her.“Aye just thinking.” Ariadne answered not turning to him.
*Chapter Contains sexual content*My Captain:Patrick kicked open the captain's quarters door stepping into the cabin carrying Ariadne. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest as she hung on to him. She could feel every muscle in his strong chest as her wet clothing clung to every inch of her. As quickly as he kicked it open he kicked it shut. His mouth found hers as soon as the door slammed behind them. Ariadne’s fingers entwined into his hair as she returned his feverish kiss. Warmth spread over her body as his tongue caressed hers. He let her legs slowly hit the floor as the kiss intensified, his hands going for the buttons on her shirt. His fingers tightly grasped the side of her shirt and tugged fiercely, the buttons ripped away from her shirt falling open to the side. She inhaled against his lips as she felt the cold air rush over h
Beach: The sand was warm and gritty feeling as her knees crashed into it. Danica dug her fingers in it as she leaned over bracing herself. She inhaled deeply, she was desperately trying to catch her breath. The water from the ocean dripped off of her and puddled into the sand. She watched it turn the sand a dark gray color as she calmed her burning lungs. She had jumped out of the row boat as they neared the shore and helped pull the rowboat in. She felt a strong arm slip under hers and help pull her up to her feet. “You alright Captain?” Kaleb said to her his hands lingering on her. “Aye.” Danica answered leaning back into him a little bit as she looked around. The island was covered in white sand that led to a wooded area. Judging by how the tr
Uncharted: Danica stretched, arching her back and raising her hands above her head. She let out a small groan as she did. Her outward hand reached into the sandy grit. Touching the sand she remembered where she was. She opened her eyes. The Sun was just peeking above the ocean and the tops of the waves were etched with its golden rays. She sat up pulling the jacket around her. She looked down at the simple brown jacket. She inhaled deeply and knew right away whose jacket it was. His scent made her feel warm, he smelt like freedom like the wind blowing in wide open spaces. Adventure. He smelt like the earth on a cold day. She found herself wrapping herself in it as she stood. She didn't realize it but her eyes were scanning the beach for him; Kaleb. “Morning Captain, what be the plan today?” A man cradling his own coat to himself asked her.
