The whole room was noisy after I revealed my identity to them. I was the wife of the man who they were trying to dismiss, the same person he betrayed and has forgiven him, so it was expected for them to act that way.

' I thought we weren't going to reveal that? Why did you do it? ' Victor's voice popped up in my head and I glanced at him.

' I had no other option. They weren't listening to me and I had to say something to convince them. Or, do you want to step down from your position? ' I asked, knowing that he was going to shake his head to disagree with what I said.

There was no one who would want to step down after having a taste of what power feels like, just like I told Nelson. But Victor didn't just have a taste of it, he was born in it and it would be very hard for him to leave it without wanting to have it back, just like what happened with Tyler.
