When I wake up, I hear a commotion downstairs. I look over and see Lilly still sleeping. I gently get out of bed and grab some shorts and a shirt and hurry downstairs. I see a group of people in the entrance, some of them I recognize but they don't recognize me. Thinking I am the Alpha, they all bow to me. I quickly scan the crowd when I see her. I walk downstairs to the basement to find a severely beaten Alpha. Steven definitely did not hold back. He sits there chained to a chair, barely able to even hold his head up. ~Lilly's P.O.V.~I search the halls trying to find Ayliah. Not finding her inside, I head out to the gardens. I find her sitting next to a rose bush, picking the petals off of a rose. ~Ayliah's P.O.V.~I stood behind the door I just closed and listened. I feel so bad for hurting Steven like that. He seemed like a really nice guy. ~Steven's P.O.V.~I watch as the bastard stands up, dropping Ayliah to the ground and it takes everything in me to not help her up. I had already mindlinked Mark to let him know what was going on. Gregory wouldn't get far out the door. Mark was waiting to give him his dose of sedative. I told him to make sure it was a double dose. Shouldn't kill him but fingers crossed it does. I wake up and see Ayliah still sleeping next to me. I guess I fell asleep. I pull my phone out keeping the light from her face and check the time. 8:34pm it reads. I close my phone. I leave him in the room watching Ayliah sleep. I know it must be killing him to not be able to comfort her. I go across the hall and open our bedroom door but Lilly isn't there.
