The Seating
Two days passed after Madison returned to school. He notices that the hallways have been decorated for the upcoming homecoming dance. A heat of passion burns in his chest as he thinks about all the fun he will have, attending his first ever high school dance, and how embracing the love of his friends will feel, after so many years traveling from place to place.
“Madison, welcome back!” Beverly says, wrapping her arms around him, much to Madison’s surprise. Beverly was usually the quiet one in the group. To embrace him so vocally, well, caught Madison by surprise. “So glad to see that you’re okay.”
“Easy, Junes. Let the man breathe,” Trevor commented from behind Beverly. “Seriously, dude. It’s good to see you back on your feet.”

A hope was emerging and spirits were rising. Leonard did his best to clear the subdued atmosphere and managed to draw a few laughs. Oliver and Harry joined them and they were now a small team. Their destination, Elizabeth's house, which was located in a region far from the center of the city, where the government allowed her to continue with some of her experiments, without belonging to CROWN.The days passed and both Leonard and the boys continued to train Rick so that he could control the beast a little more. The advances had been scarce, but effective. Rick was having trouble regaining his human form, but he was no longer hostile to Oliver and Harry. The boys were busy foraging for supplies when they ran out in the shelter inside the forest. In this way, they survived for several days, while working on gradually improving Rick's behavior in his panther form. The time had come to leave.
