Chapter 42 - Honeymoon part 2
Avery POV
We have been in Italy for two weeks and I can tell Matteo is worried about something, I just don’t know what it is. He won’t talk to me about work, and I can see that I have extra security around me now. I noticed since we got back together that he had two guys following me, but now I have five and even when I go to the swimming pool I can feel them lurking around. I can’t really see them but I know they can see me.
I walk out of the bedroom ready to stop this nonsense, Matteo needs to be able to tell me what is happening, I am his wife and he needs to share his burdens with me, that’s what marriage is all about. As I reach the office I can hear Matteo shouting inside. I take one step back but then I realise I can’t be afraid of my own husband, I know he won’t shout at me, or do anything to hurt me.
