"As you all know, Draven will be coronated as our new alpha at the end of this week." Alpha Jaxon boomed over the pack field filled with hundreds of pack members. Cheers erupted, showing just how much the entire pack adored my mate. I looked at him as he stood on the podium behind his father and beside his mother. His face was blank of any emotion; his hands were crossed behind his back, and his eyes seemed a little distant.

"Some werewolves find their mates immediately after becoming of age; some take some time, and unfortunately for others, they die without experiencing the bond." A silence reigned as I chewed on my lips, creating a distraction for what was coming.
