Olivia Smith stood frozen in disbelief as Detective Kelvin delivered the devastating news. Her heart sank, and her mind struggled to process the gravity of the situation. The police station, the very symbol of law and order in their small town, had been reduced to ashes.

"Oh my god," Olivia gasped, her voice trembling with shock. "How could this happen?"

Detective Kelvin sighed heavily, his usually composed demeanour faltering slightly. "We're still trying to piece it all together, Liv. But it seems like arson. Deliberate. Someone wanted to erase everything."

"But why?" Olivia's voice cracked, tears welling up in her eyes. "All the evidence, the case files... everything we've been working on, gone."

Kelvin placed a comforting hand on Olivia's shoulder. "I know, Liv. It's a major setback. But we won't let this stop us. We'll rebuild. And we'll find whoever did this."
