His mother nodded slightly. “Well, that’s fine. How about we go up there and go to bed? We can get some rest before we leave tomorrow morning. Do you think you can handle sleeping tonight? I know that it’s been awhile since you slept properly, and I thought it might be a good idea for you to sleep in today so that you could relax and recover,” she suggested, hoping that Julian would agree.

Julian shook his head immediately. “No, mom, I’ll stay up all night,” he insisted.

“Don’t worry about it; I’ll sleep tonight.”

Catherine paused for a second, unsure of whether or not she should accept his offer. In the end, she decided that this was probably something that would be best for Julian to be able to sleep a little longer than usual, anyway.

“Alright,” she said.

“We can try and make plans for tomorrow.”

He nodded in response. “It’s a deal,” he said.
