Chapter Thirteen

As the morning sun peeked through the curtains, Zion strolled into the room, a tray filled with an array of Ayva's favorite foods in hand. With a mischievous grin, he greeted her in a singsong voice, "Good morning, sunshine!" His playful tone was accompanied by a falsetto voice as he exclaimed. "Guess what day it is? It's Valentine's Day and you're starting the day with breakfast in bed!"

Ayva's expression however, remained blank, as if she were looking at a stranger. She couldn't comprehend his sudden shift in demeanor. Just the night before, she had made it clear that she wanted a divorce, even handing him the papers to sign before retiring to bed. Yet here he was, acting as if their conversation had never taken place. She couldn't help but feel utterly confused.

"What... are you doing?" Ayva asked as she slowly sat up in bed, her voice filled with confusion and disbelief. It was barely 7 am, and there stood her estranged husband, entering her room as if everything between them was
