Chapter 42: Burning Suffering

"Get up, grime!" Lucas' scream distraught me in alarm.

Pulling myself up, I looked at Mr. Irvine in dread while Sarah's freaky goons opened his cell and unlocked his chains from the thick ring metals that were attached on the ground. "Where are you taking him?!"

The hybrid smirked at me before unlocking my cell too. "Not only him, poor girl. You too!"

Once he entered my cell, I gathered all my strength then punched him on the face. However, it felt like I struck the hardest wall on earth, causing me to yell in pain. I bent down on my knees, gripping my damaged fist while they laughed me.

"This one is a fighter," Lucas exclaimed, then dragging me out of cell.

I stared at Dimitri and he had this deep burden in his face while they held him both in his arms. We got out of the room, only to be towed into a single path. Apparently, they loved walking in the dark or it was just me because they were creatures of the night. No amount of light touched the place, just pure darkness holding
