Chapter 116: Accomplice

One foot at a time. Like a robber trying to escape a bank guarded with overwhelming number of CCTV’s. Like a cat who just stole a piece of fish and was walking cautiously on the top of the roof to avoid being caught. Like a student driving past a highway secured by traffic enforcers, trying to sneakily bypass them because he had not brought his driver’s license. These were only few of the scenario we found relatively similar to what we felt, and what we did as we walked away from the Emergency Room. Even though me and my big brother were both dressed like the hospital’s doctors, we never felt that we were safe.
