Chapter 50 - After Then

He’s pretty problematic and in denial of the pain as we both make ourselves comfortable on the couch, staring right at Corporal Kleo. The doctor gave us the heads up about his condition earlier and after that, silence dominates the both of us.

I am still at the process of trying to wrap up things about him, things that he said, and those things that happened in the war. My father, the president, is a really cruel man but Major Sullivan is telling me things, but it felt like he is holding some information.

As I poke through our conversation earlier, the images of them shielding each other in order to survive in a war make my mind ache at the possibilities. Then, there is Corporal Neo….Neo who fought hard to live for his sick mother but the fate didn’t favor him well. Major Sullivan is both right and wrong, the war is not his fault. I guess it's not his fault alone. Those blood are in our hands. And that mere thought made me want to crumb
