Chapter 75- The Arrival

It had only been a few minutes since they had returned, but the Legend of Jake 'the negotiator' had already spread among the people. The soldiers quickly exaggerated the story and made Jake's defeat of the giant literal. 

At the Kings lounge, the highest ranking of soldiers were seated, with Jake sitting as the highest guest of honour. The elders of the royal house as well as the Queen toasted to their victory, clashing their wine glasses against each other. The Queen had quickly prepared a banquet under pressure from the elders. Jake's triumph was to be celebrated tonight. 

An elder picked up a glass and cheerfully said, "to the negotiator, for successfully retreating the enemy back to the barrier."

"To the negotiator!" Everyone else shouted in unison and gulped down their wine.
