18. Ghazi needs to let go

The blissful feeling of my idyllic mountain retreat with Oscar didn't last long. My mood quickly changed as my family was back to irritate me with the need to bombard me with their meddling in my personal life.

"So, did you meet any nice women while you were on your business trip?" Aunt Yasmin asked with a hopeful gleam in her eyes.

Before I left, I had told Robyn to give my family an excuse for my secret getaway with Oscar, and Robyn being the perfect planner told them that I was going on a full week boring business convention. But now, being back means that I need to endure my family again. I felt a sense of frustration bubbling up on the inside. I had been trying to dodge their matchmaking attempts for years, and I was getting tired of pretending to be interested.

"Aunt Yasmin, I've told you that I'm busy. I will be married one day, just not in the near future," I told her, trying to keep my tone calm.

"But you're not getting any younger, Ghazi," Uncle
