CHAPTER 124 - The Wolf-less Child's Gift

Clayton with thick tears in his eyes stood, clenching his fists tightly and watched as the fire slowly crawled up and make its way to Amarah, immediately surrounding her body. He breathed out heavily and felt his mother’s hand on his back, gently comforting him.

I love you, my Amarah, he thought in his mind intently.

Slowly, as if his own feet have their own brain, he took steps towards the platform until he is only a few feet away. His mother followed behind him and stayed behind his back as the heat being emitted from the fire increases.

As the fire started to crawl over her body, he felt a strong gust of wind blowing at them. His mother hugged his arm and buried her face in his back until it subsided. He turned to make sure that she is okay before looking back at the fire.

Another gust of wind strongly passed by and it passed directly through the fire.

“What the heck -?!” He heard Gabriel from behind exclaimed.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, a strong and blinding light shot down
