Justin’s POV

I have been trying to understand how Mike was taking everything in. I may not know much about his feelings, but when Nicole said she was cutting ties with Mike because her mom did not like Mike, I had an idea about what was happening.

However, despite claiming to have an idea, I could not be bold and ask Mike about anything. Well, considering he said he wasn’t ready to say anything, I just took it as a wound that would eventually heal through time. I also noticed Mike didn’t seem to have anything aside from sadness.

“Maybe he did not know about the mother’s dislike of him?” I thought inwardly.

I felt sad for Mike as I placed a pillow under his head on the compact couch where he had been sitting the entire time ever since we arrived at my place. He only had four bottles of beer, but he was already dead drunk and had fallen asleep with his head leaning on the backrest of the couch.
