Fifty Three

THE NIGHTMARE

Keira was laid on her bed but it was hard getting some sleep. Eventually as she kept tossing about the bed, she fell into a deep slumber.

“What time is it?” Keira asked. There were no windows, openings or slits to show the sky outside. "It's night time already," Jennie said casually much to Jennie's distress.

"It will be good for you to eat and get your energy back,” Philip said before closing the door. She rushed to stop them and demand they give her reason for her abduction but the duo were too fast for and left the room without a further word. Disappointed and frustrated, she sat back down on the bed and ignoring the hunger pangs slept off.

Three hours later, she woke up feeling weak and spent. She eyed the food that was still on the table untouched and resolved not to eat it. She swung off the bed and went into the bath to relieve herself and wash her face. Suddenly, she heard footsteps and rushed back to her bed.
