Kieran isn't nearly as sweet and gentle as Octavius, that I figured. I don't expect him to turn around, grab my wrist, and drag me along like a rag doll. Maybe vampires think they could do anything they please, but hopefully, my resistance proves him wrong. Not that I can win against an ancient vampire, but trying never hurt anyone. Right? I try to ask him where he's taking me, but the answer remains the same. "Mirror room" are the only words he repeats. For someone so short-tempered, Kieran doesn't complain about repeating himself, probably to annoy me.

As a vampire, I don't need to breathe to survive, but it's one of the few habits I still have from my time as a human. I lock the door and slowly walk towards the window.
