Chapter 17: HOME

Aimee’s POV

My head ached as I turned to the side. It felt like I had strained myself, but the only thing I did was a little practice. The memory of meeting the Moon goddess flashed in my head, making me snap my eyes open and sit up almost immediately.

I regretted doing that because it felt as though my brain had moved. I brought my hand to my head and almost immediately, the Oracle stepped into the room with a tray in hand. “You’re awake,” she said as she took position beside the bed

“How do you feel?” she added

“My head hurts,” I informed her

She nodded in understanding. “It’s normal. Here” she picked up a glass from the tray she held and passed it to me

I glanced from her to the glass before taking it. The contents looked juice like but the smell, “Ugh” I squeezed my face as I brought it closer to my nose and threw my face to the side

The Oracle chuckled. “It has to smell like that to work, child”

“Can’t I get some painkillers instead of… this?” I asked her and she shook her head
