Chapter 26: The Infiltration.

Aimee's POV

Now I understood why the Oracle said it was a story for Lucien to tell. He was there and he felt so many emotions all at once, it was a very traumatic experience at such a tender age. It was so sad that things happened the way they did and he witnessed it all.

He has been troubled since a long time ago and has been trying to let go, but that has been so difficult for him. I never knew I would be this sad to find out something as crucial as this and all I could do was pull him in for a hug.

I also understood why it was so important for him not to show his emotions, and why he could never really feel what we felt because he had been going through turmoil for years and was only trying to live for the sake of the realm and the pack.

He no longer felt any need to protect himself. All he knew was to protect others. I held him in, placing his head on my chest and he wrapped his hand around me to gain some form of comfort. I drove my hand into his hair to keep him calm.
