Chapter 31: Wounded Alpha.

Aimee's POV

All that happened so fast that I was not given the opportunity to even call out to him. The words got stuck in my throat as I watched them drive the sword into him, making sure the tip of the blade came forth from his stomach.

Lucien flew his hand to the stomach as he paused. His eyes locked on mine for only a minute before he dropped to the ground and Alec took the head of the dark force that did that to Lucien. I was rooted to where I stood, unable to move.

Everything happening around me felt like it was being slowed down and I could barely hear or concentrate. My soul felt like it was being crushed. Lucien stood in all fours, then placed his hand on the injured part of his stomach.

His face was very red, with his veins popping out at both sides of his head. He clenched his teeth together. My heart rate accelerated just looking at him. I wanted to move. I tried to move but it felt like I was no longer in control of my own body.
