I stood on the balcony of Kloss's castle, staring out over the huge territory that now felt strangely familiar. The moon hung low in the sky, its silvery light creating an ethereal sheen over the area.

The chilly night breeze carried the aroma of pine and earth, a reminder of the untamed forest beyond Kloss' kingdom's borders. Kloss stood silently beside me. It had been weeks since the disease spread, and owing to my abilities, we had been able to avert the disaster that threatened his pack.
